The Northern Virginia Church of Christ sponsors a Community Outreach program to encourage its members and their friends to serve the poor and needy .  NVCOC is a local chapter under the HOPE umbrella, and participates in the following programs:

• FACETS (transitional services for the homeless)
• FAITH'S REACH (a Saturday academy for children 8-12 years)
• Thanksgiving Basket donations to the Reston Herndon FISH organization
• Clothing Drive for the children and orphans in Afghanistan
• Christmas Toy Drive
• Backpack Drive - annual backpack  donations to the Northern Virginia Family Services
